Around January last year, I picked up this book (the first Nnedi Okorafor piece I read) after having heard good things about her book, Lagoon.
The 2017 Writivism Short Story Prize is now open for entries from unpublished African Writers. The Annual Award for emerging writers is governed by the Center for African Cultural Excellence (CACE).
I am having a hard time reading this book due to the gross factor: bugs. I mean, if you are going to turn into something not-human; why not something more cuddly? or at least something with less than 6 legs? However, I still insist on reading it because people keep comparing it with ‘Blackass‘ and i needed to find out for myself if it’s truly a fair comparison.
